KitCue ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Collect

KitCue collects only what is necessary to provide the service. When you use KitCue, you enter film-related information — such as your film's title, logline, themes, and director details — directly into the app. This content is processed to generate press kit materials and is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. We do not store this content on our servers.

If you subscribe to KitCue Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your credit card information. Stripe may collect billing details subject to their own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.

We use Plausible Analytics to collect anonymized, aggregate usage data — such as page views and general traffic patterns. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. No data is shared with advertisers.

How We Use Your Information

Film details you enter are sent to our server-side API proxy solely to generate your requested press kit content. This data is not logged, stored, or used for any other purpose. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, except as required to operate the service (Stripe for payments, Anthropic for AI generation).

Cookies and Local Storage

KitCue uses your browser's localStorage to save your film details between sessions and to remember your Pro status. No tracking cookies are set by KitCue. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for kitcue.com.

Third-Party Services

KitCue uses the following third-party services to operate: Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic (AI content generation), Netlify (hosting and serverless functions), and Plausible (privacy-friendly analytics). Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

Data Retention

Because your film data is stored locally in your browser, we do not retain it. If you clear your browser data, your saved information will be removed. Stripe retains billing records as required by financial regulations.

Your Rights

You have the right to request deletion of any personal data associated with your account. Because KitCue does not maintain user accounts or server-side user records, most data can be cleared directly by you via your browser. For billing-related data held by Stripe, you may contact us and we will facilitate a deletion request on your behalf.

Children's Privacy

KitCue is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of KitCue after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
